Here is my blog. I don't post as often as I'd like, but I do like to have a journal of my life. I write about my family, my work, my church, my friends, my interests, and my thoughts.

Day One of No Spending
Today on my way into work, I did not purchase my daily 44 ounce Diet Coke. I wanted it really badly. But I drove right on by the gas station. That's 86 cents that I saved. Not that big of a deal really, but since I committed to not spending any money, then even such an insignificant number (at least insignificant to me) counts, too. I guess I'll settle for water today.
I applaud you. Jason and I have talked about something similar to this. We grocery shop once every 2 weeks to cut down on temptations of unnecessary items but we still REALLY struggle with take out. Even when we know money is tight sometimes we dont have the will power to just cook something here (and we always have 'something'). So I applaud you and wish you luck. I would love to hear more about it.
I'll talk with you about it anytime. It's been interesting, to say the least. I've almost bought something several times this week without even thinking about it. That's how ingrained the notion of spending is! Wow. Take care.
